Why We Choose Joon Skin Care Products

JOON was developed to provide young girls (ages 6 – 12) a healthy and fun alternative to existing conventional personal care products. If you’re a mom of a young girl, you know that they reach an age where they want to choose their own products and they like picking up bottles of bath wash and body cream and smelling what’s inside. Oftentimes, what’s inside isn’t necessarily good for them.

JOON products were created without the use of parabens, phthalates, sodium lauryl (laureth) sulfates, propylene glycol, or harsh chemical preservatives. We formulate using natural and naturally derived ingredients – nothing is ever animal derived and we never test on animals. All of our products have been clinically tested. We are members of the Natural Products Association and abide by their list of “positive” ingredients for personal care products. We are transparent in our ingredients list and encourage you to ask questions if you have any.

We believe that being green is about the personal choices that we as individuals make every day. As a small company, we have made a commitment to evolve our green efforts as we grow and can economically afford to do so. Currently, our products are packaged in 100% recyclable bottles that are BPA and phthalate-free. We also work with our packaging suppliers to ensure that they are committed to using sustainable materials for our shipping cases. We do not use secondary packaging for our products in an effort to reduce waste. In the future, we have a plan to incorporate PCR packaging, but only at a time where we can reach a scale where these costs don’t have to be passed on to our customer. Our goal is and always will be to offer a HEALTHY and AFFORDABLE alternative to moms and girls.

On the home front (our office, for now, is home-based!), we have outfitted our office to be green, using recycled paper when necessary, e-fax (to reduce the use of paper), energy efficient lighting. And, we have a no water bottle policy!
